The Big Two-O
My days as a teenager have drawn to a close, and another one more year before I become a full-fledged adult. It’s amazing how time just flies by like this.

I can still remember the day when I had one big candle on my cake and was wondering when I’d be able to see two big candles. Never would I have guessed that my twentieth birthday would be spent far away from home, in Brunei. Such is the unpredictability of life. I wonder how my thirtieth birthday would be like…

So many emotions, so many thoughts, but for some inexplicable reason, I just can’t seem to find the right words today. All I can say is that being twenty just makes me feel old – and it sucks. I can’t claim to be a youthful teenager but I still have to suffer the ignominy of being barred from R(A) shows. What a crappy deal!

On a happier note, here are some photos from the advanced “birthday party” that Sam held for me in my bunk/office last Sunday. The photos of the dinner commemorating my birthday aren’t around because Sam, the blur cock, brought his camera out but forgot his memory stick. But oh well…I shan’t be so harsh; after all, he did buy me the Bavarian Cheesecake and the Famous Amos cookies on Sunday, and treated me to dinner at Fratini today. Thanks buddy! But don’t be so absent-minded next time!

Bad hair-do; I just got up from my evening nap.

Murder!

Warning: Ultra-long thank-you speech coming up...

Many thanks to Poon (my camp mate), Yong Qi, and Degen for celebrating my birthday today at Fratini as well. Another big thank-you to Jovan and Vinson who walked all the way to Manggis to buy me another cake to surprise me in the conference room – it was really touching. I’m sorry I couldn’t finish the cake, because I was already terribly bloated from the spaghetti, pizzas and cake at Fratini. One more thing Jovan, you really didn’t have to sing the “Happy Birthday” song every single time you saw me today. It’s frigging embarrassing! Haha…but thanks anyway for everything dude.

My heartfelt appreciation as well to my parents who sent me an e-card, and to Kevin, Teng Hwee, Chun, Michael (Seng) and Diana who SMS-ed me to wish me Happy Birthday – thank you very much for remembering.

As for all those whose names are unlisted, you suck! How can you forget the birth of the great one?! Haha…alright since it’s my birthday today, I’ll be magnanimous and forgive all of you. =]
